Emergency department on-call services in the Central region – End-of-year holidays

During the evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, Hôpital Kirchberg and the Centre hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) provide emergency department on-call services for the Central region throughout the year, in accordance with an alternating duty rota.

During the end-of-year holiday period, the organisation of on-call services has been exceptionally adjusted in accordance with the following schedule:

• Wednesday, 24 December 2025:
  • During the day until 3.00 pm (instead of 5.00 pm) – Centre hospitalier de Luxembourg
  • From 3.00 pm. (instead of 5.00 pm) – Hôpital Kirchberg
• Thursday, 25 December 2025: Centre hospitalier de Luxembourg
• Friday, 26 December 2025:
  • During the day until 5.00 pm – Centre hospitalier de Luxembourg
  • From 5.00 pm – Hôpital Kirchberg
• 27 and 28 December 2025: Hôpital Kirchberg
• Wednesday, 31 December 31:
  • During the day until 3.00 pm (instead of 5.00 pm) – Hôpital Kirchberg
  • From 3.00 pm (instead of 5.00 pm) – Centre hospitalier de Luxembourg
• Thursday, 1 January 2026: Hôpital Kirchberg

Outside these adjustments, the usual alternation of emergency department on-call services between the Centre hospitalier de Luxembourg and Hôpital Kirchberg remains applicable, in accordance with the schedule available on santesecu.lu under the section "Emergency departments of on-call hospitals".
